I did go back to the need zone and picked up it's tracks again, but was unable to ambush that one (I think I didn't get the time of day right). I keep thinking that I might go back and try that diamond coyote again, but the problem with it was that it gets down wind and I can never get close without spooking it. The last piebald I purposely ambushed at the feed zone where I'd seen it (my original spot was right when it was taking off and wind was not in my favor). Cool thing about these hunts though is that in all 3 cases I've been unable to get the animal on my first encounter with it, but have managed to find it again, either at a later time the same day, or on the next day.
Those need zones that you find will be added to your local map as well even after you log out of multiplayer. Not sure how excited I should get about seeing and hunting the rare fur animals. Go into a multiplayer lobby for the map you want - then travel to any area you want to hunt in, and use your binoculars/rangefinder to 'spot' as many feeding/eating/resting animals as you can. I'm wondering because I've only come across one diamond so far (lvl 9 coyote) which I was unable to kill, but I've now found and killed 3 rare fur deer, and I've seen what I think was a rare fur bear (had blonde color to it).
